Crimsonland Forum
Paint the town a darker shade of red., the SHMUP that shoots first and forgets to ask questions later, is available now for 50% off on GOG.com! That's just $6.99 for the entire first week! You're just a man. A man stranded. You're about to make some friends. Here comes the gang now: the gross man-eating spider, a green zombie doing the shuffle, and look, he brought his giant pet lizard. Any questions? Too slow, you're dead.
Try again, and grab a pistol, we don't have answers anyhow. Shoot that ugly spider face! Blast those awkward zombie legs off! Burn that giant lizard up, what a silly idea for a pet anyway. Done shooting? Totem tribe gold dolphin puzzle. Here comes another bazillion of them. In, there is no time to waste on a backstory, there are no space marines, no zombie apocalypse.
It's just you, the creatures, and over 30 unique weapons at your disposal - some are shooty, some explode, and some are just plain unusual. As you unload your fury on anything that moves, you'll earn perks for that additional kick of awesome: set monsters on fire with a glance, turn into a ninja, or unleash a deadly plague. This 2014 remaster of the textbook shoot 'em up is everything a fan could ask for: tighter controls, a colorful high definition spectacle, and the ultimate carnage of local co-op for up to 4 players. As you progress through the game you'll unlock new weapons and perks to build your arsenal for the ultimate challenge: Survival Mode. If you're nostalgic for the experience that captured gamers' hearts back in 2003, we're throwing in the original Crimsonland as part of the package!Shoot 'em all up with a touch of RPG in the remastered, for only $6.99 on GOG.com!
And the forums got a “bit” messy. Could you recommend some good games like Crimsonland? I'm having a hard time finding those of good. Crimsonland Trophy List. 21 Trophies. 648 Owners. 24.75% Average 0 Platinum. 0 Gold. 0 Silver. 21 Bronze Crimsonland Trophies. PSNProfiles.com.
The special 50% off discount will be here all week, until Thursday, August 21 at 9:59AM GMT. SWAT85: Game is nice, but in my opinion 7 dollars is way too much. I know I'll sound like I am selling this game as I do work here and all but this game is quite addicting. I spent the better part of a three day weekend playing the Blitz mode and I am barely functional at work now. Like zombie mode up in here.FYI, I do play CKII and adventure games and other games that have a deep story but Crimsonland just gives that nice feeling 'shoot at everything until it stops moving' feeling:DFinally, there's always a sale so no need to get it now:). Full 'unofficial' version right after release. And still, despite of large amount of fun, I dare to claim that this price is an overkill. 3 dollars would seem better. Especially because this title is neither fresh nor technologically advanced (for the record and to be precise - great game doesn't have to have advanced graphics for me to be amazing).
Sounds Great! I'd love to see this game run, but there is one problem.
A lot of levels can go MUCH faster if you get lucky on powerups, and unless you do multi segment, there's really no way to manipulate that luck, I doubt you'll want to run the game the number of times it takes to get the nessicary powerups to speed it up significantly on every level, were as if you did a multi segment run, luck manipulation would be a larger factor, in that you could restart just that level every time you didn't get the good powerups (points would be pretty useless here, although I suppose there are a few perks worth getting).Good luck. Well, i don't want to be rude, but i don't think many people want to see a run of this game. On top of that, it's a simple freeware game, which means that you can't submit it to the SDA game list. There is a thread in this forum collecting freeware game runs, but that's all.Of course you can continue this and maybe post it in the freegames topic if you have enough motivation to do this for yourself, maybe this game even offers strategical decisions and actions in the later levels.
But i'd suggest that you look for another game to run. You can look for that in the request topic, simply type 'request topic' or 'request' in the search function.
