From Little SamsonPart 4/24 of my NES Hidden Gems project.Late entry, yes, but I'm still working on this alongside all the other arts (even the last parts of the Amiga and megaman X projects.).So anyway, this time the gem is.This one is an interesting case, it's actually one of the best platformers to ever be released on the NES system, but sadly, it was a tad too late since in the year '92 we already had the SNES and the world's attention shifted there, effectively pushing this gem of a game into obscurity. A pity indeed, since like I said, it was of of THE best platformers the NES ever got.First of all, the graphics were genuinely impressive for the system's capabilities, the music was good, not the best OST but a nice and catchy one, and the gameplay and stages were what's best about the game.The story might not have been the most unique, since we got the pretty standard 'great evil is set free and mighty heroes were summoned to deal with it' one XDAt least the characters bring a pretty original feel. The 4 heroes who were summoned to defeat the evil overlord were Samson the Hero to represent humans, Kikira the Tsundere Dragoness Dragon Princess to represent dragons, Gamm the Golem to represent magical beings and K.O. The Beast (a mouse to be specific.) to represent animals.

2016-3-16  Sad to hear that there are also reproduction Famicom cartridges. Here's a copy of the Famicom version of the highly sought-after Little Samson. It may look like the real thing, but the seller says that this is a reproduction cartridge.
