S1 and S2 were great, but they had their blemishes-those tracks you skip to get to the fucking rad tracks, even though they sound great in the background of a fight:. S1: Jago.

S2: Riptor, Kan Ra, Cinder (although I know many will disagree with me on that one)S3 is the first album on which every track sounds magnificent. I just listened to the whole thing and was goddamned pumped out of my mind the whole time. Just listen to how awesome the retro melody sounds at the beginning of Tusk's theme and try to keep your pants from exploding off.Cell Dweller and Atlas Plug did it, you guys. Here's Spotify, if anyone wants it:.

I literally think the exact opposite.S3 Soundtrack wasn't exactly bad, but it didn't have half of the creativity and thought behind it that S1, S2, and basically all of Mick Gordon's music has.I do love some of the tracks from S3, like Kim-Wu and Mira, but it just doesn't quite hit me like Maya, Fulgore, Kan-Ra, or Spinal. When making the DOOM soundtrack, Mick Gordon talks about how in Hell, you can see these rocks that have broken off of these spires but are just being held together by red energy, and he says 'I wondered what that energy would.sound like'. I think that shows the level that Mick Gordon works at compared to most game composers. Crushing is much more appropriate for the DOOM of 2016 I think, but don't forget that a lot of the Original Doom wasn't all groovy. A lot of it was haunting, ambient, and gritty.

It was groovy where appropriate.2016's DOOM is very industrial and abhorrent. There's flesh, metal and brimstone. You play a malicious demon-killer who is infuriated after the fact that he was imprisoned.

There's only so much room for groove where there's death, destruction, overwhelming gore, fire, brimstone, metal, hell, and demons. I just can't imagine anything more appropriate for DOOM 2016 than the viscous noise of 'Flesh and Metal'. Rope soccer.

Gordon's brilliant-I agree completely. The S3 guys had an equally conceptual approach, though, I think. For example, when producing Rash's track, they asked the MS folks 'What does Rash listen to?' MS replied 'Van Halen.' That was the basis of the sound of Rash's theme. I think that's a pretty clever way to get to the heart of a character's personality really quickly.RAAM's theme also sounds like a menacing, lumbering force coming from deep underground (dark, plodding, repetitive melodies and the low brass especially give me this feeling).Although I might agree that S1 and S2's tracks are more obvious depictions of their characters. Before I had even played the game, I knew Glacius's track when I heard it. Same goes for all of the S1 tracks.

S2 was a little tougher, mostly because of ARIA, Kan Ra and Aganos. They were loosely thematically tied to their characters, but nowhere near as tightly as the rest.

Rash has definitely got one of the stronger soundtracks of the S3 roster. Pro evolution soccer 2019 pc. Sounds undeniably Rash and also has a respectful amount of punch and drive.RAAM's theme does have a Gears Of War style ambience to it in some regards, which is obviously what was needed, but I think it lacks coherence. It's less of a song than a bunch of riffs.if you get the difference i'm getting at.

It also struggles to have much drive.Undeniably, the S3 soundtracks work when in game as they should, but I can legitimately listen to Mick Gordon's music outside the games. I just can't listen to the S3 in my car or whatever.Except for Eyedol. Eyedol's track is a beast.
